Juvenile Arrested After Crash Left Two Teens Dead In Early December

14-year-old Tylik Charles and 16-year-old Ameria Grant were occupants of the stolen truck and both were pronounced dead at the scene.

We now have an update on a fatal crash that occurred earlier this month involving a stolen vehicle.

The accident happened on Kershaw Street in Florence on December 9th.

A truck, that was later confirmed stolen, was traveling at high speeds and ran a stop sign before crashing into another vehicle.

The occupants of the other vehicle were taken to hospitals with injuries believed to be non-life threatening.

The driver of the truck has been identified as a juvenile who fled the scene before officials arrived.

They now face a series of charges including 2 counts of reckless homicide, 2 counts of hit and run resulting in death, hit and run of an attended vehicle, no driver’s license, disregarding a stop sign, and possession of a stolen vehicle.

An investigation is ongoing.
