Man Charged With DUI After Crashing Into President’s Motorcade Vehicle
After an investigation, the driver of the Sedan was not considered a serious threat to the president. The 46-year-old man has been charged with DUI and Inattentive Driving.
President Biden and First Lady Jill Biden are safe after a two-vehicle crash involving his motorcade in Wilmington, Delaware.
On Sunday night, a car slammed into a parked SUV that was guarding the president’s motorcade while he was leaving his campaign headquarters.
The U.S. Secret Service vehicle was blocking off an intersection near the headquarters when a Sedan ran into it. The suspect vehicle then attempted to continue into a closed-off intersection before Secret Service personnel surrounded the vehicle with weapons drawn and instructed the driver to put his hands up.
President Biden was quickly ushered into his vehicle where his wife was already seated before being quickly driven back to their home.
After an investigation, the driver of the Sedan was not considered a serious threat to the president. The 46-year-old man has been charged with DUI and Inattentive Driving.
No one was injured in this incident.
