Amazon, Target And Walmart Take Water Beads Marketed For Children Off Shelves

Three retail giants have announced the water beads will no longer be available for purchase in stores or online.

Three popular retailers are pulling a product marketed to children.

Amazon, Target and Walmart now refuse to sell water beads after government officials, lawmakers and public health professionals called for a ban on the toys.

Water beads are tiny balls made up of absorbent polymer material that grows when exposed to water. The products pose health risks to children because they can grow inside a body if ingested.

The retail giants have now announced the water beads will no longer be available for purchase in stores or online.

Each stated that protecting customers are their top priority.
