One person has been arrested after allegedly threatening one of the GOP presidential candidates.
Security was on alert as Vivek Ramaswamy made four different campaign stops across New Hampshire on Monday.
The entrepreneur had received text messages that threatened to take his life. The threats were sent in response to a campaign text about a portsmouth event on Monday.
A staffer with the Ramaswamy campaign alerted police to the threat, which launched and investigation that involved the FBI.
Authorities were led to the home of 30-year-old Tyler Anderson of New Hampshire, where they found guns. The suspect allegedly confessed to sending the texts during a police interview.
Anderson was detained and will remain in prison until a detention hearing which set for Thursday. If convicted, he could face up to five years behind bars.
Ramaswamy took time to thank everyone involved in solving the situation.
