Hunter Biden Indicted On Nine Tax Charges
The indictment comes after a special counsel investigated business dealings of Biden and alleged he "spent millions of dollars on an extravagant lifestyle rather than paying his tax bills."
Hunter Biden has been indicted on nine tax charges in California.
The new charges include three felonies and six misdemeanors. They come after the implosion of a plea deal in a separate case regarding federal firearms charges in Delaware alleging the president’s son broke laws in 2018 against drug users having guns.
The indictment comes after a special counsel investigated business dealings of Biden and alleged he “spent millions of dollars on an extravagant lifestyle rather than paying his tax bills.”
The charges center on at least $1.4 million in taxes Biden owed between 2016 and 2019. He also allegedly filed false tax returns in 2018.
If convicted, he could serve a maximum of 17 years in prison.
