Three Victims Died In A Shooting At UNLV

Sources say the suspect had applied for a job at UNLV and was turned down but, an official motive behind the attack has not been revealed at this time.

On Wednesday, a mass shooting at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, resulted in the death of three people and the shooter.

Shortly before noon, the shooter started firing on the fourth floor of the university’s Beam Hall business school building, where students and professors were preparing for next week’s final exams.

The shooter moved through several floors before being confronted by law enforcement outside and was stopped. He was identified as 67-year-old Anthony Polito and it is unclear how he died.

In addition to the three people Polito killed, one person was critically injured by gunfire but is now in stable condition.

Polito was a college professor that worked at schools in Georgia and North Carolina. Sources say he had applied for a job at UNLV and was turned down but, an official motive behind the attack has not been revealed at this time.

The university has canceled all classes through Sunday and is still considering how the campus will operate next week.
