Gabby Petito’s Parents File New Lawsuit Against Brian Laudire’s Parents

The new lawsuit alleged Brian Laundrie called his parents in August of 2021 and told them Gabby was "gone" and he needed a lawyer.

A new lawsuit has been filed in the case involving the death of Gabby Petito.

The 22-year-old was reported missing in September of 2021 after she took a trip with her fiancé Brian Laundrie. Her remains were found days later and a coroner ruled her cause of death as strangulation.

Laundrie returned home from the trip without Petito before he vanished and investigators later discovered his remains and ruled he died by suicide. Authorities said they found writings near his remains in which he claimed responsibility for Petito’s death.

The victim’s parents are now suing Laundrie’s parents claiming they intentionally withheld information about their daughter’s death which caused them pain and emotional distress.

The new lawsuit alleged Laundrie called his parents in August of 2021 and told them Gabby was “gone” and he needed a lawyer.

Petito’s parents are accusing Laundrie’s parents of knowing she was dead well before they did. The complaint does not explain how her parents know about the alleged phone call.

This is not the first lawsuit Petito’s parents have brought against Laundrie’s parents.
