Bill McClure Unofficially Secures Empty Myrtle Beach City Council Seat
The Myrtle Beach Election Commission is set to meet at 3:00pm on Wednesday to canvass the votes and certify the election results.
The unofficial results from Tuesday’s election for the empty Myrtle Beach City Council seat, have been revealed.
Bill McClure appeared to defeat John Krajc to secure a four-year term on council, starting in January.
McClure reportedly received 1,811 voted while Krajc appeared to receive 1,690 votes.
The Myrtle Beach Election Commission is set to meet at 3:00pm on Wednesday to canvass the votes and certify the election results. The meeting is open to the public and will be held in the Second Floor Conference Room at City Hall.
This voting was a runoff for the last open seat after Debbie Conner and Mike Chestnut secured enough votes to fill the other two previously empty council seats during the November 7th election.
