SpaceX Approved For Second-Launch Attempt Of Its Starship System
Starship is intended to serve as the lunar lander for the Artemis III Mission set for 2025. It is known to be the most powerful rocket ever built.
SpaceX has been given the ok to launch a highly anticipated second test flight of its Starship system.
The Starship spacecraft and its super heavy booster are at the center of SpaceX’s plans to eventually put humans on Mars, as well as aid NASA’s effort to return humans to the moon for the first time in over 50 years.

During the first launch attempt in April, the rocket exploded just minutes after take off. The company has spent the past few months rebuilding the launch site and making upgrades to the rocket system.
Now, the FAA gave SpaceX permission to attempt to launch the structure again after the agency determined it met all safety, environment, policy and financial responsibility requirements. It is now set to launch Friday at 8am with back-up window opportunities set for every morning until Monday.
