Man Arrested In Connection To Fatal Shooting Incident

Jemell Williams has been arrested and charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

A man has been charged in connection to a shooting that resulted in the death of one person.

Around 8am on Tuesday morning, police were called to the Marlboro Court Apartments on Oakwood Drive in Bennettsville. Upon arrival, officials found 32-year-old Tonny Swinnie with gunshot wounds in the parking-lot. Swinnie died due to his injuries.

Jemell Williams has been arrested and charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

Swinnie and Williams allegedly knew each other, but it is unclear what led up to the shooting.
