Large Fire Causes Vital Section Of An L.A. Freeway To Close

The cause of the fire has been confirmed to be an act of arson. Investigators are working to uncover if one or more people were involved.

A large fire broke out at a vital section of a Los Angeles freeway on Saturday.

The fire started in two storage lots under Interstate 10 where construction materials combusted causing the fire to rapidly grow. It left many columns charred and chipped and guard-rails twisted.

The section of the freeway remains closed as of Tuesday, causing a major traffic headache for thousands of commuters.
