The Robeson County Sheriff’s Office Has Opened A Homicide Investigation

Deputies responded to 502 Edward Circle in Lumberton in reference to a man being shot.

An investigation has been opened after a man was found dead in Robeson County.

Shortly before 11:30 on Saturday night, deputies responded to 502 Edward Circle in Lumberton in reference to a man being shot. Upon arrival, 42-year-old Michael Hathaway was found dead at the scene.

The case is being investigated as a homicide.
