The city has started placing detour and traffic control signs in preparation for its ‘Utility Relocation Plan’. The city plans to install underground utilities, which consists of converting overhead electrical and communications wiring to an underground conduit system, as well as removing the overhead wiring and power poles.
Construction will stretch from 29th Avenue North to 34th Avenue North along North Ocean Boulevard. Crews will begin working on the installations within the next ten days.
