The U.S. Strikes Weapons Storage Facility In Syria

This marks the second time in less than two weeks that the U.S. has bombed facilities used by the militant groups.

The U.S. conducted strikes in eastern Syria.

Two U.S. F-15 Fighter Jets dropped several bombs on a weapons storage facility near Maysulun in Deir el-Zour, which was known to be used by Iran’s Revolutionary Guard.

The initial strike prompted secondary explosions, but the U.S. believes that no civilians were injured or killed and that the people in the area were tied to the Revolutionary Guard or militia groups.

The strike was in retaliation to a growing number of attacks on bases housing U.S. troops in the region over the past several weeks.
