Robbery Suspect Detained Shortly After Incident

While in pursuit to the truck stop, a deputy spotted a person walking along Highway 379 that matched the description of the robber.

A man was arrested in connection to a robbery incident.

Around midnight on Sunday, Florence police responded to reports of a robbery that was conducted on the Littler Fishers Truck Stop on East Myrtle Beach Highway.

A person pointed a gun at the clerk and took money from the register before fleeing on foot.

While in pursuit to the truck stop, a deputy spotted a person walking along Highway 379 that matched the description of the robber. The deputy made contact with the suspect and found a gun and bag with cash.

Joshua Wilson was then arrested and charged with armed robbery and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. He is being held at the Florence County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.
