Shooting Near CCU’s Campus Leaves One Person Injured
Authorities have reason to believe the incident could have been a drive-by shooting due to witness statements as well as tire marks found on the scene.
A shooting incident occurred near Coastal Carolina University’s campus that left one person injured.
The shooting happened around 1 Wednesday morning in the Bellamy Coastal Complex.
A large group of people were spotted in the parking-lot when multiple gunshots broke out, prompting people to flee the scene.
Conway police responded to the area located off of Highway 501. Upon arrival, officers found one victim that had been grazed and transported to a hospital. Their condition is unknown as details are limited.
We do know the victim did provide a name, but the suspect did not appear on South Carolina records.
