Tai Chi Could Benefit Parkinson’s Patients
Things like falls, dizziness and back pain were significantly lower among patients that practiced Tai Chi.
A health study has discovered a way to slow down symptoms of Parkinson’s by years, but it requires some balance. Researchers from Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine monitored Parkinson’s patients for five years. One group involved in the research, practiced Tai Chi twice a week for an hour while another group continued with their standard care. They found that symptoms progressed slower in those who practiced the martial art. Things like falls, dizziness and back pain were significantly lower among these patients.
