U.S. Troops Deployed To The Middle East In Response To Iran’s Apparent Attacks

The units are reportedly not being sent to Israel and are "intended to support regional deterrence efforts and further bolster U.S. force protection capabilities."

In response to Iran’s apparent attacks U.S. troops have officially been deployed or are in the midst of being deployed to the Middle East.

Around 900 U.S. troops are being sent to the region after a series of attacks on coalition bases that resulted in minor injuries for nearly two dozen troops. A Pentagon spokesperson shared that these troops are forces that have been on prepare to deploy orders.

The units include a Terminal High Altitude Area Defense battery from Fort Bliss Texas, Patriot batteries from Fort Sill, Oklahoma, Patriot and Avenger batteries from Fort Liberty, North Carolina, as well as associated air defense headquarters elements from Fort Bliss and Fort Cavazos, Texas.
