U.S. Citizens Urged To Refrain From Traveling To Lebanon
The advisory warned U.S. citizens who choose to travel to the country to be aware that the U.S. Embassy officers could be restricted from traveling to assist them.
The U.S. State Department has issued a warning advising American citizens to refrain from traveling to Lebanon.
The travel advisory was raised to a ‘Level 4: Do not travel’ on Tuesday due to the unpredictable security situation related to war between Israel and Hezbollah or other armed militant factions.
The department authorized the voluntary, temporary departure of family members of the U.S. government personnel and some non-emergency personnel from U.S. Embassy Beirut due to the lack of security assurance.
