Cheers to Better Sleep! How to Make TikTok’s ‘Sleepy Girl Mocktail’

The drink is made by mixing tart cherry with either a sparking water or prebiotic soda. Greg and Audra test it out on Carolina A.M.

Have you heard of the sleepy girl mocktail?  It’s a beverage that several wellness influencers on TikTok report has helped them get quality sleep.  There are different variants, but the main ingredient in all of them is tart cherry juice.  Tart Cherry is linked to better sleep because it has the amino acid tryptophan as well as the sleep-regulating hormone melatonin.  The drink is made by mixing tart cherry with either a sparking water or prebiotic soda.  Some add magnesium as a booster. Dieticians give this a thumbs up as it can’t hurt as some research suggests supplements and natural sources like tart cherries can be used to improve sleep and safe for short term.  Audra Grant brings the trend to Carolina A.M. with a taste testing with Greg Rowles.
