Little River Swing Bridge To Close Temporarily For Maintenance And Repairs

The Little River swing bridge on Sea Mountain Highway over the Intracoastal Waterway will be closed to roadway traffic starting at 9a.m. on Monday.

A swing bridge in Horry County will soon be closed temporarily next week.

The Little River swing bridge on Sea Mountain Highway over the Intracoastal Waterway will be closed to roadway traffic starting at 9a.m. on Monday. The structure will undergo maintenance and repairs throughout the week.

Drivers are advised to use Highway 17 as an alternate route. During this time, the swing bridge will remain open to marine traffic at certain times including 9a.m., 11a.m., 1p.m. and 3p.m.. Vessel traffic will be unrestricted between 5p.m.-8a.m..

Drivers are asked to please use caution in the area during time of repairs.
