The U.S. State Department has issued travel advisories including Gaza and Israel.
The warning states terrorists and other violent extremists continue plotting attacks in Israel, the West Bank and Gaza. The attacks may come with little to no warning, targeting tourist locations, transportation hubs, markets/malls, and local government facilities.
A “do not travel to” warning was placed on Gaza due to terrorism, civil unrest and armed conflict while an “exercise caution when traveling to” warning was placed on Israel. The U.S. government is unable to provide emergency services to U.S. citizens in Gaza as government employees are prohibited from traveling there.
Many companies have canceled flights across Israel including American Airlines, Delta, as well as several international airlines. The U.S. Embassy in Israel is continuing to closely monitor the dynamic of the security situation in the region.
