A Series Of Incidents Resulted In The Death Of One Person

A series of events unfolded on Saturday that resulted in the death of one person.

In the early hours of Saturday morning, officers responded to shots fired outside a nightclub in Dillon County. The incident led Dillon County officers on a chase where they were forced to back-off when it entered Robeson County in which law enforcement did not get involved.

A short time later, the fleeing vehicle crashed, killing one occupant. The name of the deceased individual has not been publicly revealed at this time and the North Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
