Secura Recalls Nearly 6,400 Air Fryers Due To Risk Of Fire

The product will have model numbers of either SAF-53 or SAF-53D with date codes of 1901, 1903, or 1904 at the bottom.

Nearly 6,400 air fryers sold nationwide have been recalled.

The Secura Air Fryer is being recalled due to a wire connection in the product that can cause it to overheat posing the risk of fire. The product will have model numbers of either SAF-53 or SAF-53D with date codes of 1901, 1903, or 1904 at the bottom. All of the products are black with silver accent sporting a Secura logo near the top.

They were sold online on Secura’s website and Amazon from May 2019 to October 2020. Product owners can request a refund or replacement due to the potential safety concerns. No injuries or property damage has been reported but, there have been nine reports of the product catching fire, burning and smoking.
