Meta Revealed It Uses Public Posts To Train Its New AI Assistant

Meta has revealed the company uses public Facebook and Instagram posts to train its new Artificial Intelligence assistant.

Posts that were fed to the new AI include both text and photos. However, the AI reportedly has not touched private posts, such as those only shared with friends or family.

Meta also shared it has some measures in place to exclude private details from the public data-sets used by the AI, but specific details were not revealed.

The company opened its virtual assistant, ‘Meta AI’, to the public last Wednesday and it aims to assist users to create their own digital stickers based on text prompts, edit photos with text instructions, and chat with AI personalities.
