A new hospital is set to break ground in Carolina Forest.
McLeod Health said that the Carolina Forest campus will be adding on a four-story building with 48 beds and four operating suites. At this time, there are only three out-patient buildings on the campus serving patients with primary care, specialty and emergency care.
The $56 million hospital will be 82,613 square feet. It will also be available for patients from the Carolina Forest emergency department who need continuing care.
Construction is expected to take around 2 years to complete.
