Albino Boa Constrictor Found Under Car Hood At Beach Automotive
Russell Cavender, AKA 'The Snake Chaser' was called out to pull the large reptile from the 2015 Ford Focus engine.
An automotive company in Myrtle Beach got a surprise visitor Tuesday morning.
Beach Automotive employees were shocked to find an 8-foot albino boa constrictor under the hood of a car that was brought in for a clutch shutter and recall.
Russell Cavender, AKA ‘The Snake Chaser’ was called out to pull the large reptile from the 2015 Ford Focus engine. A mechanic had to remove a few parts from the car before The Snake Chaser could get the snake out without harming it.
Cavender said the snake is not native to South Carolina so he believes it was someone’s pet that wasn’t well taken care of. He said if someone claims the snake, he will make sure it has proper care. However, if no one comes forward, he will nurse it back to health and give it to a breeder.
