Brightline Is Set To Launch First Private Passenger Train In A Century

If Brightline succeeds, the accomplishment could lead to more highspeed lines between major cities 200 to 300 miles apart in the future.

Florida’s Brightline is set to launch the first private passenger train service in over a century.

Brightline will start running trains between Miami and Orlando reaching speeds of 125mph.

32 trains will run daily and the company is charging single riders $158 round-trip for business class, $298 for first-class, and families or big groups could purchase four round-trip tickets for $398.

If the service is successful, it’s expected to eventually transport around 8million people annually on the 235-mile trip that will take around 3 1/2 hours, which is 30 minutes less than the average drive between the two cities.
