UAW Strike Continues with No End in Sight
This is the first time in history the union has striked against all three companies at the same time.
The United Auto Workers’ strike against the big three vehicle companies has entered its fourth day. UAW President Sean Fain said he does not see a role for the Biden administration in bringing an end to the union’s strike against the nation’s three unionized automakers. He added that this is their battle and their negotiating teams are working hard to see it through so their members get what they are asking for. Demands include a 36 percent pay raise, increased job security, 32-hour, four-day work-weeks with no pay cuts, and more. The strike against GM, Ford and Stellantis will continue until an agreement can be reached as more and more workers will be called to stand up and walk out across the big plants. This is the first time in history the union has striked against all three companies at the same time.
