Criminal Activities Suspected In Missing Persons Case

A search was underway off Butler Road near Larinburg in Scotland County where Bennett's car, a blue Challenger, was found.

Police have reason to believe criminal actions may have been conducted in a missing persons case.

Shelton Bennett was reported missing last Friday after his family said they hadn’t seen him in 48 hours.

On Thursday, a search was underway off Butler Road near Larinburg in Scotland County where Bennett’s car, a blue Challenger, was found.

Officers continued to search the area with the assistance of drones but they were unable to locate him.
