Burger King Faces Lawsuit Against The Size Of Its Whopper Burger

The eatery said the plaintiff's claims are false and that the beef patties that are portrayed in their ads are the same patties used in the millions of whopper sandwiches they serve to guests nationwide.

Burger King is expected to defend against a legal claim after a judge rejected the eatery’s bid to dismiss a lawsuit.

Customers in the proposed class action lawsuit accuse the fast food chain of portraying burgers with ingredients that ‘overflow over the bun’, making it appear that the burgers are 35% larger and contain more than double the meat than the chain actually serves.

In other words, customers claim the burgers in burger king ads are bigger than the ones that customers actually receive after purchase.

Burger King argues that it is not required to deliver burgers that look ‘exactly like the picture’, but the judge said it was up to jurors to decide what reasonable people think.

A lawyer for the plaintiffs has not publicly commented on the ongoing actions.
