Who’s All in for 4 Minutes? That’s All You Need for Exercise Benefits

Data was analyzed from 22-thousand non-exercising adults averaging 62 years of age.

A little goes a long way when it comes to the benefits of physical activity. Just four to five minutes of “vigorous physical activity” could reduce cancer risk among those who are generally inactive, according to a new study published in the Journal Jama Oncology. Data was analyzed from 22-thousand non-exercising adults averaging 62 years of age who wore activity trackers on their wrists for a seven-day span for several years. Those who had vigorous activity for 4.5 minutes per day had a 32% reduced risk of “physical activity-related cancer incidence” — including kidney, bladder, stomach and lung cancers.
