The Myrtle Beach Classic will be the first ever PGA Tournament event on the Grand Strand.
The Myrtle Beach Classic will be the first ever PGA Tournament event on the Grand Strand and preparations are already underway.
The event is set to take place May 9th through the 12th.
Thousands of people are expected to attend the classic as spectators, but there are also opportunities to be a part of the event as a volunteer.
Tournament Director Darren Nelson says they are currently collecting names and contact information before they go live to the public in October by reaching out to those who will be approved to proceed through the official registration process. Until then, volunteers can sign up online.
Nelson also said they are also searching for local charities to benefit from some of the proceeds in which over $200 thousand will be granted.
The event will be hosted at Dunes Beach and Golf Club and tickets will go on sale in the Fall. General admission will cost $50 while VIP packages and other benefits will cost more.
