A recent survey found that many would rather be productive than happy. What is productivity? A mindset coach says it’s about doing less by focusing on what’s important and being able to get better at what we do, achieving more in less time. This could be why the productivity trend “habit stacking” has surged on social media. It’s a technique for building new habits by ‘stacking’ them on top of existing ones. By attaching the new habit to an existing one, you create a cue or trigger for the new habit, making it more likely to stick. For example, after you make your coffee or tea each morning (which is already something you may already be doing), add the thing you want to incorporate like reading for 10 minutes.
