Netflix Cancels Their Cheapest Ad-Free Plan

Existing Basic subscriptions will be allowed to keep the plan until they change plans or cancel their Netflix account.

Netflix announced it is cancelling its cheapest no-ads plan in both the U.S. and the U.K.

The move forces new subscribers to either pay an additional $5.50 a month for ad-free streaming or choose the ad-supported option for $6.99 a month.

The Basic Ad-free option was $9.99 a month and is no longer on the list of offered plans for new subscribers. However, existing Basic subscriptions will be allowed to keep the plan until they change plans or cancel their Netflix account.
