Larry Nassar Stabbed By Inmate In Federal Prison

Nassar was allegedly stabbed in the back and in the chest but was in stable condition as of Monday.

Former Sports Doctor Larry Nassar, who was convicted of sexually abusing Olympic and college female gymnasts, was stabbed 10 times by another inmate at a federal prison.
The attack occurred on Sunday at the United States Penitentiary, Coleman, in Florida. It was said that Nassar was stabbed in the back and in the chest but was in stable condition as of Monday.
The two officers guarding the unit where Nassar was held were working mandated overtime shifts due to a staff shortage. Details are limited at this time as the situation is being investigated.
Nassar is serving decades in prison for convictions in state and federal courts. He pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting athletes when he worked at Michigan State University and at Indianapolis-based USA Gymnastics, which trains Olympians. He also pleaded guilty to possessing images of child sexual abuse in a separate case.
