North Korea Calls On International Community To Stop Japan From Dumping Wastewater

This is the latest statement in a series of concerns voiced by neighboring countries such as South Korea, China and the Pacific Islands.

North Korea has called upon the international community to stop Japan from releasing treated wastewater into the ocean.

The United Nations recently approved for Japan to release the wastewater from the Fukushima nuclear plant into seawaters in an attempt to make more room for untreated water to be handled.

North Korea’s Land and Environment Protection Department said the international community cannot sit and watch the “evil, anti-humanitarian, and belligerent action by the corrupt force that is attempting to disrupt humanity’s home of the blue planet, and must unite to stop and destroy them.”

This is the latest statement in a series of concerns voiced by neighboring countries such as South Korea, China and the Pacific Islands, who have all raised concerns about potential harm to the environment and public health could experience.
