Twitter Threatens Legal Action Against Meta’s New ‘Threads’ App

Twitter is threatening legal action against Meta over its new ‘Threads’ app.

Meta released its new app early on Wednesday and exceeded 10 million sign-ups within the first seven hours. Now, ‘Threads’ already has over 30 million users.

Twitter owner Elon Musk is accusing the social media giant of copying his app due to ‘Threads’ displaying many of the same characteristics that Twitter has.

Musk also alleged that meta hired former Twitter employees to gain the “copy-cat” application. However, Meta denies those claims.
