This Hershey’s Chocolate Bar Hack is Carolina A.M. Approved!

Greg and Audra test this hack for chocolate covered strawberries where you melt the Hershey's chocolate bar in its wrapper.

Summertime is the perfect time to try a new recipe with friends and family.  But to score high in our books. it’s got to be quick, simple, and cost efficient.  For today’s Thursday Tips, we looked through social media for what’s trending and pulled a few that met those requirements.

This is a quick bagel hack for a snack or appetizer using the air fryer.   One loaf can feed a multitude! Slice 2 bagels into bite size pieces or chips. Add chopped bagels into a bowl with some salt and a good drizzle of olive oil.  Toss in parmesan and garlic bread seasoning.  Airfry at 350 degrees for about 5 minutes or until crispy.

Sheet pan meals are popular.  We like this sheet pan of quesadillas!   Spray you pan. Line with tortillas.  Sprinkle with cheese, taco meat, salsa, drained corn and any beans you have.  Also add any topping you like here!  Top with more cheese.   Fold in the edges.  Give it a spritz of cooking oil.  Place a sheet pan on top and bake for about 20 minutes.

We saved the best for last!  Greg and Audra put this one to test and it is Carolina A.M. approved!  This hack for chocolate covered strawberries has you melting your Hershey’s right in the wrapper.  We like this because it looks quicker, uses less dishes and just simpler.  Simply melt your wrapped chocolate bar in hot water for about 10 seconds.  Cut the edge and drizzle for fast chocolate strawberries.  If you have sprinkles, that’s bonus!
