Construction Of The World’s Biggest Cruise Ship Is Complete

Royal Caribbean International's 'Icon of the Seas' is nearly 1,200 feet long and weighs nearly 300,000 tons.

The boat that is expected to be the world’s biggest cruise ship has completed construction at a shipyard in Finland and has made its first trip in open waters for trial.

Royal Caribbean International’s ‘Icon of the Seas’ is nearly 1,200 feet long and weighs nearly 300,000 tons.

It is scheduled to set sail in Caribbean waters in January of next year, and can comfortably hold around 5,610 passengers and 2,359 crew members.

The vessel will feature six record-breaking water slides, seven pools, and nine whirlpools.
