Fire At Barefoot Landing Causes Major Damage To One Building

Crews remained at the scene throughout the night, continuing to fight the blaze as a strong thunderstorm moved through the area.

A fire broke out Monday night and caused severe damage to a building at Barefoot Landing in North Myrtle Beach.

Crews responded to the area around 2:45a.m. and found flames already coming through the roof of Francesca’s, a clothing store that shares space with Liam John USA, also known as Johnnie-O.

They remained at the scene throughout the night, continuing to fight the blaze as a strong thunderstorm moved through the area.

Crews worked quickly to limit the major fire damage to only one building occupied by the one tenant.

The fire burned underneath the boardwalk as well.

The cause remains under investigation as crews remain in the area to monitor hot spots.
