Tornado Leaves 4 People Dead, 9 Injured, And Major Damage To Texas Town

Damage to utility lines left the town without power as well as surrounding towns and areas that also experienced the line of storms yesterday.

A rare combination of multiple tornadoes, hurricane force winds and softball sized hail occurred in Northwest Texas.

The worst damage from the storms appeared to be in Matador. the town has a population of 570 people and is 70 miles Northeast of Lubbock.

A devastating tornado touched down and nearly flattened the town, killing at least four people in its path of destruction. At least nine storm related injuries have been reported so far.
