The submersible known as ‘Titan’ began it’s expedition on Sunday with a goal to visit the Titanic wreckage which sits on the ocean floor 12,500 feet below the surface.
The vessel had up to 96 hours of reserved oxygen for five people but, lost contact within nearly 2 hours of their launch.
Hopes were high on Wednesday when crews once again heard banging noises in the water near where the submersible dove down. However, no sight of the vessel has been reported.
Experts fear time is of the essence as oxygen levels could zero out, and many other threats prompt a negative outcome. Despite that, an abundance of agencies have collectively worked day and night to find the crew and will continue to do so.
