Miami Mayor Suarez Announced 2024 Presidential Run
Francis Suarez became the second Floridian leader to run following Governor Ron DeSantis.
On Thursday, Miami Mayor Francis Suarez officially entered the 2024 presidential race as a Republican candidate.
Suarez made the announcement in front of a few hundred people at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in California and shared that he plans to take the Reagan lane.
The mayor said, “We need a strong leader who shares America’s values, who understands that unity is more powerful than division.”
The 45-year-old started out as a youthful politician who initiated his career in politics by assisting his father’s campaigning when he ran for mayor of Miami.
Suarez now joins a growing list of GOP candidates who are competing to gain the Republican nomination. He became the second Floridian leader to run following Governor Ron DeSantis.
