Deceased Person Discovered Under I-95 Collapsed Portion

Investigators are still working to determine the exact cause of the collapse which has forced drivers to take alternative routes.

There are updates on the collapse of a portion of Interstate 95 in Pennsylvania.

Part of I-95 caved causing a truck carrying 8,500 gallons of gasoline to catch on fire under the highway rubble.

Authorities have recovered a body from the wreckage but it has not been identified and was handed over to the Philadelphia County Medical Examiner on Monday. Officials have not yet shared if the discovered remains were those of the truck driver.

Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro has declared a state of emergency to gain funds for repairs of the highway that carries nearly 160 thousand vehicles daily.
