The next time you’re working on your landscaping, kill two birds with one stone and turn it into a workout! Will it be as effective as running 5 miles, no but there are some things you can do to boost your heart rate and work on mobility. Break up your tasks with cardio breaks such as jumping jacks, running in place or jump squats. Or, make things even harder by lunging or squatting for each weed you pull. Or, try tightening your abs with each pull of a rake. Not only will this give you a quick boost, but it can also prevent injuries.
