Florida Officials Admit Responsibility For Migrant Flights To California

Florida officials pushed back on the allegation that the migrants had been transported against their will or under misleading circumstances.

Florida officials took responsibility for the flights that transported migrants to Sacramento after several days of silence.

All together over 36 migrants were taken to California on a private flight and both groups were flown by the same contractor and were carrying documents indicating that their transportation involved the state of Florida.

California Governor Gavin Newsom said that sending the migrants to his state is illegal and raised the potential threat for kidnapping charges in a Twitter message directed at Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.

A video was shared showing how the migrants volunteered through verbal and written consent and showed they wanted to go to California.

DeSantis himself has not yet commented on the flights.
