Marlboro Sheriff’s Office To Offer Free Trailer Stamping
Participants of the event will also have a chance to enter a free drawing for a Proven Industries trailer valued at $245.
The Marlboro County Sheriff’s Office and Sheriff Larry McNeil will offer a free trailer stamping event next month.
The event is scheduled for Saturday, July 1st. It aims to combat theft of the often highly priced property.
The event will start at 8a.m. and last until 3p.m. at 239 Throop Street in Bennettsville.
It is free for anyone who wants to make their trailer more identifiable if it is ever stolen.
The sheriff’s office shared that if a trailer’s VIN or Serial Number is known to law enforcement before theft then the chances of recovering it are much greater.
The number will be engraved on the trailer frame and in a secondary hidden location.
Participants of the event will also have a chance to enter a free drawing for a Proven Industries trailer valued at $245.
