After 25 minutes of technical difficulties, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis officially joined the Republican race for president.

On Twitter’s audio platform he held conversations with Elon Musk and tech investor David Sacks.

In his opening address to listeners DeSantis painted a picture of a country he believes is blindly guided under Biden’s leadership as he urged Republicans to get behind him.

DeSantis said, “I am running for president of the United States to lead our great American comeback, but we know our country’s going in the wrong direction. We see it with our own eyes and we feel it in our bones.”
