New Chinese Ambassador Wants To Mend US-China Relations
Tensions between Beijing and Washington grew after the U.S. shot down China's suspected spy balloon as well as after Taiwan and the U.S. openly showed their unity.
China’s new ambassador arrived in the U.S. as both governments have indicated that they want to steer the relations between their two nations back on track.
Xie Feng said his goal is to enhance US-China relations during a time of ‘serious difficulties and challenges’.
Feng said that he hopes the U.S. will work in correlation with China to address issues and manage differences in order to mend a recently intensified feud.

In recent weeks however, there have been signs that those heated tensions seem to be cooling as several top U.S. and China officials have conducted meetings over the past few weeks.
